DESCRIPTION:NOTE: This event was originally scheduled for March 2nd\, but has been postponed due to inclement weather. \nOn Saturday\, March 16\, 2024 (9:00 am – noon) the Prince William Trails and Streams Coalition will be conducting a trash cleanup on Neabsco Creek and at the Neabsco Boardwalk in Woodbridge.  They will be working from two locations: \n– Neabsco Regional Park\, 15125 Blackburn Rd\, Woodbridge\, VA 22191 (boardwalk area)\n– Neabsco Eagles Park\, 15801 Neabsco Rd\, Woodbridge VA\, 22191 (stream cleanup downstream from litter trap)\n\nYou will be asked to pick a location when you register. Trash bags\, litter grabbers and gloves will be provided.  Storm water surges in the stream leave trash in flood plain areas\, which can be wet and muddy.  Wear boots or shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty. DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, February 15th at 7:00PM\, WPCCA will be holding our monthly meeting at the Potomac Science Center. \nPresentations: \n\nJoe Jacobs\, Vice President at Elm Street Communities will be presenting on their proposed (partial) redevelopment of the Featherstone shopping center\, including a new coffee shop\, housing units\, and redevelopment of part of the vacant commercial space adjacent Gabe’s.\nJanet Bartnik\, Deputy Director at the Prince William County Department of Parks\, Recreation\, & Tourism will be speaking about trail development\, and new activities and features that are being produced for the county’s parks and trails.\n\nWe will be meeting in the atrium. Parking is available in the adjacent lot or parking garage.

Martin will be presenting on current financial scams and fraud schemes to look out for. Fraud attempts have nearly doubled since 2020\, so it’s more important than ever to be aware aware of the tactics scammers may use to try and separate you from your money. \nThe Potomac Science Center is located at 650 Mason Ferry Ave\, Woodbridge\, VA 22191.
